News: Quit Blaming The Regional Jets (RJs)

This posting written by Roger Cohen, President of the Regional Airline Association (RAA) talks about how some are blaming the delays in our transportation system on Regional Jets (RJs). These people argue that there should be fewer large planes, instead of more small planes.
Cohen states that “More than 153 million passengers last year flew on a regional airplane — that's nearly one out of every four U.S. travelers. Regional aircraft represent about 40% of the nation's commercial fleet and one half of all daily flights.” He then talks about how the RJs also fly to places that the larger planes don't service. He talks on the fact that we need to build “an airport and airway infrastructure that meets America's 21st century needs.”
